lol. back from chalet.
anw, forgot to tell you guys, the prev post,
dont ever ever go watch paranormal activity.
not cos its too scary, but it totally sucks. and sucks to the core.
its a damn freaking boring 15000 USD show using the lousiest camera to film
and it has no scary effects at all. disgusting probably.
all they show you are a guy and a girl doing shit.
yup, so really dont watch it. unless you wanna waste your money or cure an insonmia
the reviews are marketing gimmicks and definitly just bribery, haha. maybe sarcasm
if dont believe can ask any ST camp member and they will tell you.

drag me to hell not scary de. but damn shocking
lol. i keep screaming wtf, but also not scared de
its more like a.. hmm, roller coaster ride?
lol. but its definitely much better then paranormal.

lol. chalet other time then write bah. took a pic with a super chio cosplay girl
damn chio. show you all pics next time.
saw jason koor robo competition also. nancy kang also over there. haha

ST camp over le. haha.
not very up to standard. but innovative . thus, it wasnt all a failure afterall.
with talents, soemtimes, you dont need to outsource things.
so yeah, in one day, many ppl tried my wooncake le. LOL..

happy bday rachel.

everyone have something in the world that they havent seen yet.
it is something..
very sweet and kind
if anybody were to see it, they will definitely want it.

this is why, the world hid the thing.
so people could not find it easily.

however one day, i will find it
only that one person will find it with me.
it is something like this....

feels like crap man.
hais. what dont be sad. lol. if you even know i am sad.

whirlwind of events. too many for a holiday. too many for a lifetime even.
hah. exagerations.
anw, my chinese improved in daily speeches. watching t.v. is the remedy.
(but even so anw, i so dont want to continue. cos the next step is to improve reading. then writing. gosh. )
maybe not remedy, booster. lol.
just keep pretending you are good at it, and you will be.

like after watching hotshot, the contagious rythms of superman flows, or maybe engulfs the small yet vast winding brain of mine. it just keeps staying.
tempo. rythm. action. movement. speed. attitude.
it all stays tgt. cool. just need to pretend. and the ball just gets into the hoop.
nvr shoot so many 2 pointers in my life before.
yah i know weilie will say ' huh? what many. then mine is what? infinite. lol.'
yah lah. wadeva man. i dont have to care since i dont have a tagboard. tsk
sooner or later. but most probably later, i am gonna dunk. SLAM DUNK. . . lol. wishful dreams

leonids on tues. 17 nov. just a week before that.

5th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad

From 7 Oct to 14 Oct 2009,
three students from two schools participated in the 5th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad in Damyang, Korea.
A whirlwind of events ensued.
There were official excursions to the Sun-cheon Bay Area famous for its wildlife, the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, a traditional Korean fortress, a bamboo park (Damyang is famous for bamboo), and many more.

On their own, the participants organised games ranging from “Mafia” to “Capture the flag” to a hybrid of sepak takraw and volleyball, and even a “Disco Night” on the last night of the Olympiad. Okay – that was the fun part. (the drinking and dancing! hehe)

The stressful part was obviously the competition. The problems set were of a rather high standard and of quite a different style as what we are used to seeing in Singapore.

On top of that, the competition was quite intense.
Indonesia, China, Thailand and Korea are known powerhouses; moreover, Korea was the host country.
Nevertheless, the Singapore team managed to focus and gave their best throughout the competition.

All received the III-rd Diploma, equivalent to a Bronze Medal. Congratulations to Stacey-Ann Lee, Silas Yeem and Tay Woon Kiat! No less valuable were the contributions of Seow Yongli as jury member; and Joel Lee as observer and chaperone. and also rongen, the person who wrote this. lol. nvr include himself

The Olympiad was not just a test of astronomy knowledge, but also an event where learning of different cultures and countries in addition to learning more about astronomy takes place.
Yet more important that that, I feel, is that friendships were forged, and the totality of the Olympiad has inspired the participants to work harder for the betterment of the astronomy community.
